ART MACNOW (CFO):
Founding member of the prestigious business management firm of Gelfand, Macnow, Rennert & Feldman … servicing clients such as Neil Diamond, Bob Dylan, George Harrison and The Carpenters to name a few. In 1973 he became the business manager for Maurice White and has had a forty-one year relationship with Maurice and Earth, Wind & Fire as both a business and personal manager. In the late seventies, he and Maurice ventured into the record label world in association with Sony Music and created Kalimba Records serving as the CFO of the company. In this role, he was responsible for all negotiations with artists and producers, as well as the financial well being of the company… a function that he is still performing today. In addition, he oversees the use of the trademark … “Earth, Wind and Fire”.
RICH SALVATO (Production Manager / Facilitator):
Initially an associate manager of the touring production services division for EW&F, Rich has served in many capacities over his thirty-five year tenure with Maurice White and Earth, Wind & Fire. After helping to facilitate the construction of a ‘state of the art’ recording / video / rehearsal studio complex for Maurice, Rich served as studio manager for ten years before moving back to the touring division. As overall production coordinator, Rich presided over and help manifest the vision of Maurice to the actual stage presentation. Aside from his involvement in tour management, Rich supervised the construction of another studio, as Maurice wanted to venture into a Record label. At Kalimba Records, Rich facilitated Maurice’s music projects in the studio and manufacturing of product.
TED JOSEPH (Label Manager):
Ted has spent over 3 decades in the music industry and has worked with Sony Music, EMI/Capitol, BMG Distribution, Sony Distribution, Universal Distribution, and Warner Music Group. Ted’s experience spans over 20 years with Warner Bros Records & Warner Distribution in various critical functions such as Radio Promotion, Marketing, Sales and Distribution. Throughout Ted’s career he has developed the overall marketing campaigns for: Quincy Jones, Al Jarreau, Earth, Wind & Fire, David Sanborn, Earl Klugh, George Benson, Joe Sample, Boney James, Fourplay and many others. Ted has contributed and been associated with over 100 Gold & Platinum projects. Ted has a proven track record in the development and cultivation of overall marketing distribution strategies and product exposure that has resulted in exceeding their sales goals and market share.
